New boat lifts for Naples and Marco Island docks

A lift should be sized to the boat you have and the one you might buy next.

We install and service major lift brands. JJ looks at your boat, your slip, and your pilings, then recommends the lift and capacity that fit.

Power to the lift is run by a licensed electrical contractor.

What we size the lift to

  • Boat weightWet weight: fuel, water, engines, and gear, not the brochure dry weight.
  • Length and beamSo the boat clears the pilings and sits square.
  • Hull shapeBunks set to match the hull.
  • The slipWater depth at low tide, width, and room to come in straight.
  • PilingsExisting pilings get checked before they carry a new lift.

Lift types

The right type depends on the boat and the water.

  • Four-post elevator liftsThe common choice for center consoles and cruisers on SWFL canals.
  • Larger liftsMore pilings and capacity for bigger boats.
  • PWC and platform liftsFor personal watercraft and paddle craft.

How an install runs

  1. Site visit

We measure the slip, check the pilings, and look at the boat.

  2. Recommendation and estimate

The lift, the capacity, and the price, in writing.

  3. Permits, if needed

We tell you which agencies are involved.

  4. Install and wiring

Lift installed; power run by a licensed electrical contractor.

  5. Test run

We run the lift with the boat on it, with you or on video.

Good to know

Size the lift to the boat as it sits on the lift, not the brochure dry weight. Fuel, water, engines, batteries, and gear all add up.

The slip matters as much as the boat. Water depth at low tide decides how low the cradle can go, and the pilings decide what the lift can hang from.

Questions about new lifts

Can my existing pilings hold a new lift?

Sometimes. We check them on the site visit, and if they can't, new pilings go in the estimate.

Do you remove the old lift?

Yes. Removing the old lift can be part of the job.

Which brands do you install?

Major lift brands. Ask about the one you want, and we will tell you what we recommend for your boat.

Who services the lift after it is in?

We do, and a maintenance plan puts it on a schedule of two visits a year.

Can I see my boat on a lift before I call?

Try the lift builder. It draws an example lift around your boat. JJ confirms the real sizing on the site visit.
